«Πειραματικό Σύστημα Χαρτογράφησης του Πληθυσμού της Ευδεμίδας στην Κύπρο μέσω Αυτόματων Παγίδων και Ασύρματων Συστημάτων Επικοινωνίας και Εντοπισμού»

The European Grape vine moth, Lobesia botrana is serious pest of  a vineyard. The larvae will enter the grape and feed until pupating inside the grape.  An automated trap which has already been designed and constructed will be upgraded and include embedded sensors measuring the environmental parameters (temperature/Humidity) and also the geographical coordinates using a GPS module. The area temperature is also measured using satellite remote sensing techniques and  a correlation method will be developed  This automated trap uses a camera to capture images, a wi-fi communication system to transfer these images to a local area computer. The computer using image analysis techniques counts the numbers of flies and records the temperature/humidity and also the position of the trap. The results are then automatically published in a website along with a Map of the area and satellite measurements for temperature.

Η ποιότητα του σταφυλιού που θα χρησιμοποιηθεί για παραγωγή κρασιού είναι ένας από τους βασικούς λόγους για μια καλή παραγωγή. Πολλοί μεταβλητοί παράγοντες όπως το η υγρασία, θερμοκρασία του περιβάλλοντος  καθώς επίσης και διάφορα έντομα που προσβάλλουν τον καρπό συμβάλλουν στην καλή η κακή παραγωγή. Ένα από τα ποιο βασικά έντομα που προσβάλλουν τον καρπό είναι και το έντομο της ευδεμίδας (Lobesia Botrana). Το έντομο της ευδεμίδας απαντύσσετε ραγδαία σε συγκεκρημένο εύρος θερμοκρασίας και υγρασίας και για αυτό τον σκοπό αρκετοί παραγωγοί ψεκάζουν ανεξέλεκτα χωρίς να λαμβάνονται υπόψη οποιεσδήποτε επιστημονικές μετρήσεις, όπως θερμοκρασία, υγρασία και ο πληθισμός της Ευδεμίδας.
